Demonstration by the Saori Shed Weaving Studio, Diss

The 2017 lunchtime demonstration presents the creative and colourful Japanese craft of Saori Weaving, with an opportunity to try it for yourself.

Annual Art Exhibition: Preview Evening @ The Assembly Rooms, Swaffham
Oct 27 @ 7:00 pm

The climax of the Festival is the 22nd annual exhibition and sale of art in the Swaffham Assembly Rooms.

The Exhibition showcases quality works by Norfolk artists and craftspeople.

Malcolm Whittley, Rotarian and a noted watercolour artist, was one of the group that organized the original exhibition selling paintings to raise money for charity.

“We have three aims” he says. “We exhibit and sell work by some of the many talented artists in our region; we raise the profile of visual art in the Swaffham area and in West Norfolk; and we raise money for good causes. At the last count the total income raised by the Exhibition for distribution to good causes by the Swaffham Rotary Club is approaching £100,000”.

The Exhibition will also display the winning entries in the Swaffham District Schools Art Competition.

Friday 27th October preview evening 7.00pm. Entry and catalogue £6.
